White House rejects petition to pardon Snowden 


July 29, New York: The US administration rejects the petition to pardon Edward Snowden for leaking US government secrets. The petition was signed almost by 168,000 people to pardon him.

US Homeland security has said that the leaking classified information has kept US security personal working day out is risked.
The US administration has branded Snowden a hacker and a traitor who endangered lives by revealing the extent of the National Security Agency spying programme.

Snowden has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for the second year in a row and has received a string of international awards for free speech and civil liberties.
