Several policemen die in PKK attacks in Turkey
July 31, Adana : Fighters of Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) have attacked a police station and fired on railway workers that leaves five people dead, Turkish officials said.
The governor of Adana province Mustafa Buyuk said that said PKK fighters opened fire at the police station in the town Pozanti, two policemen and two attackers dead in the clash.
Meanwhile, PKK fighters detonated a bomb they had placed on rail tracks and later fired on rail workers sent to repair the line in the eastern province of Kars, Adem Unal, the region’s deputy governor, told the state-run Anadolu Agency. One of the workers was killed there.
