One dead, over 200 injured in South Africa passenger trains collision 


April 28,Johannesburg: One individual was killed and more than 200 were harmed after two passenger trains crashed in a suburb of South Africa`s greatest city Johannesburg on Tuesday, train administrator Metrorail and emergency administrations said.Both trains were going from the capital Pretoria when one train collided with the other in the Johannesburg suburb of Denver, Metrorail representative Lillian Mofokeng told Talk Radio 702.

“We simply don’t know how it happened. We will be exploring that. There is an evidence that individuals have been harmed,” she said.Nearby media reported that one of the trains had halted at Denver station when it was hit from behind.Emergency administrations supplier ER24 said in an announcement that one individual had passed on and 241 others endured wounds.

Train crashes  are not phenomenal in South Africa, regularly brought on by link burglary on train lines or human lapse.A year ago, more than 80 suburbanites were harmed when two trains crashed in the port city of Durban. In 2013,300 individuals were harmed after traveler trains crashed in Pretoria.The government has said it is currently upgrading the country`s ageing rail system.
