Norway honors 77 victims of extremist attacks 


July 22, Oslo: Norway has honored 77 victims of a terrorist attacks on the Central Government buildings in Oslo and the Labour Party’s youth camp at Utøya in July 2011.

Prime Minister Erna Solberg said that July 22, 2011, will always remain a dark day in the Scandinavian country’s history.

Anders Behring Breivik, serving a 21-year prison sentence, confessed to the bomb attack at government headquarters that killed eight people and a shooting rampage at a youth camp on Utoya island off the capital, Oslo, where he murdered 69 others.

There will be a number of memorial ceremonies nationwide to mark the day.
