Nasa’s spacecraft makes first visit to Pluto

July 14, New York: Nasa’s New Horizons spacecraft has made historic exploration making first visit to Pluto. Horizon will be sending detailed pictures of the dwarf planet on Tuesday.

New Horizons chief scientist Alan Stern said that the momeNant was historic and the team is proud to accomplish the task which had started during US President Kenndy 50 years ago and has continued to today under President Obama.

It marks the fact that every body in that system – from Mercury through to Pluto – will have been visited at least once by a space probe.

This marks the fact that the space probe would have visited the planet from Mercury to Pluto at least for one time.
