Malala meets Pakistani Prime Minister for the first time

July 9, Oslo: The 17 years old Pakistani activist and Nobel Laureate, Malala Yousafzai, met with the Pakistani Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, for the first time during a two-day Summit on Education in Oslo this week.

Malala, who now lives in Britain, has a complex relationship with Pakistan as some claim she is shaming the country by unravelling the country’s affairs to the World.

In 2012 Malala was shot and nearly killed by the Taliban for making a stand on education for girls and have since then worked to raise questions regarding child labour and child marriage, claiming that keeping girls in school is the best way to protect young girls.

You have done a great job and said many wise things, Sharif said when they met at the summit.
