April 22, Tokyo: Japanese officials have launched a probe on Wednesday after discovering much to their surprise a small drone on the roof of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s office. The drone is four-propeller and measured about 50 centimeters in diameter. It was carrying a camera, flare-like device, and a plastic bottle, according to the national broadcaster NHK. A number of other media outlets reported the drone was decorated with a radioactive mark. The Kyodo news agency said a small amount of radiation was measured on the craft. Investigations are still going on as it couldn’t be known who really sent the drone and what their motive was. The incident has happened when Japanese president Abe had left for Indonesia.
