Chattanooga shooting: Four Marines killed, several injured at Tennessee US Navy centres
July 17, Chattanooga: Four US Marines have been killed and several others were injured when a gunmen opened a fire at two US Navy buildings in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez, 24, was carrying 30-round magazines when he opened fire, according to a source. Abdulazeez kept police at bay for some time with the amount of ammunition he had, source said.
The shootings were being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism, a local district lawyer said. The gunmen was shot dead later the FBI and local reports said. He was born in the Middle East.
He was arrested earlier this year in Chattanooga for driving under the influence of alcohol.
