Blast at Italian consulate rocks Egypt
July 10, Cairo: A powerful blast at the Italian Consulate in Cairo has rocked Egypt on Saturday morning.
The large explosion has left five wounded, including two police offers, officials told the AFP news agency. For the last few months Egypt has been rocked by a series of attacks.
“A car bomb has caused the explosion,” state-run agency Mena quoted an official as saying. Egyptian security forces have been fighting Islamic militants mostly at the Sinai Peninsula.
