Australian nurse charged with supporting IS
July 26, Sydney: An Australian nurse, who was released last week from Syria has been charged with terrorism offence. Adam Brookman, 39, who according to him was involved in carrying humanitarian work in Syria, and was forced to work with Islamic State IS militants.
He was detained at Sydney airport on Friday after surrendering to officials in Turkey. Brookman has been charged under new anti-terror laws with knowingly providing support to IS.
