Apple CEO to give all of his fortune away in charity

March 27, San Francisco: Apple CEO Tim cook is planning to give away all of his near $ 800 m fortune before he dies, The chief executive is joining a long list of magnates promising to give away most of the wealth that they amass during their careers Cook revealed his philanthropic plans in an extensive profile in Fortune magazine on Friday: “To cook, changing the World always has been higher on Apple`s agenda then making money he plans to give away all his wealth, after providing for the college education of his 10 year old nephew. There should be plenty left over to fund philanthropic projects.”

According to AP Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett are among dozens of wealthy people planning to give away their fortunes.

Most of Cook’s wealth is tied up in an Apple stock grant he received in 2011 when he succeeded Steve Jobs as Apple Inc.’s CEO. That grant is currently worth about $860 million.
