Afghanistan suicide blast kills at least 33 people
July 13, Kabul: A suicide car bomb attack on Monday near military base in Afghanistan’s Khost Province has killed 33 people, authorities said.
The attack happened just before 7:00 pm, when many people were breaking their Ramadan fast. There were lot of casualties and ambulances have been working to get people to the hospital. The bomber detonated the explosives at a military roadblock near the entrance to Camp Chapman, Faizullah Ghairat, the Khost city police chief, AFP news agency reported.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but the Taliban has often targeted Afghan and foreign troops. Foreign troops including US soldiers are stationed at Camp Champan alongside the Afghan soldiers.
